What is "muslin"?
Muslin is a type of finely-woven cotton fabric, most typically a closely-woven unbleached or white cloth, produced from corded cotton yarn.
What sizes do you offer?
As of now, we offer two sizes. 10' wide x 12' high and 10' wide x 20' high.
How do I hang my background?
All of our backgrounds have two rod pockets at each 10' end. Simply put a rod inside and hang it on a support. Our backgrounds also contain 5
1-inch grommets along the top (10' end) so you can hang it like a curtain through the grommets. Our customers enjoy the versatility of these

What shipping options do you offer?
We offer shipping options through UPS to meet even your most stringent deadline (UPS Next Day Air) or if their is no rush, please take advantage
of our free UPS Ground shipping option! Please click here to review our shipping information. Also offered: UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air,
UPS 3 Day Select, UPS Ground.
How quickly do you ship my order?
Since our backdrops are in stock, they will always ship by the next business day. Most days, if your order is placed early enough, it will ship the
same day! If your order is placed on a Friday, it may not ship until the next business day (Monday). Please call if you have a special need.
How do I store my muslin background?
After a break-in period, where the muslin will become softer and easier to work with, you should be able to either store it rolled or simply
crush-pack it into a bag (or an old pillow case).
What about wrinkles in my dyed background?
Avoid folding your backgrounds neat and square, which will most always produce hard, symmetrical lines that are hard to look past. Crush packing
into a bag does create wrinkles, however, they are random in nature.
To remove the wrinkles, you have a couple of options. Either brake out the iron (tedious, but effective), use a steamer, or hang and lightly mist
with warm water.
Can I wash my background?
For our dyed muslin backgrounds, yes. If you can be spot cleaned, please do so. If your background is in need of a full wash, you may wash it in
cold water and mild detergent (if needed) on the gentle cycle. Please hang and air dry.
For our hand-painted backgrounds, no. Please spot clean only.
My new dyed background leaves color behind on my hands. What can be done about this?
When you receive a new dyed background from us it may still have residual dye left on it's surface. If this is the case as simple wash will do the
trick (see above).
Are your muslin backgrounds see-through?
No, our muslins are not see through unless very closely back lit. If you are looking for a heavier fabric than muslin, we do offer our High Key White
and Solid Black backdrops in "Duck".
What is "Duck"?
Cotton duck is a heavy, plain woven cotton fabric.
Heavier than cotton muslin, it provides the added weight and thickness that some photographers desire without sacrificing the all important aspect
of portability!
Duck fabric is woven with 2 yarns together in the warp and a single yarn in the weft.
